We’re excited to share that Prof. Maria G. Castro from the UMich Medical School, Department of Neurosurgery, recently delivered an inspiring talk to the OLLI (Osher Lifelong Learning Institute)UM community titled: “Advances in Cancer Immunotherapy: How Can We Reprogram Our Own Immune Systems to Fight Cancer.” Her lecture, part of OLLI-UM’s Thursday Lecture Series (Feb 5) on Biomedical Research and Technology, captivated both in-person attendees at the WCC and participants joining via Zoom. Prof. Castro shared a clear, engaging overview of her cutting-edge research on immunotherapies that target brain tumor growth and recurrence. We are proud to see BIBC faculty sharing their expertise beyond the lab, bringing science and innovation to the wider community. Thank you, Prof. Castro, for your dedication and for inspiring the next generation of scientists and learners!
